Melody and David’s wedding day was a perfect Friday afternoon at the newly renovated West Manor Estate in Forest. Their dream for a sunset themed event came true with the most perfect weather and sunset that day. She wanted their day to be adorned with pearls and an antique feel, and included many special handmade touches. There was a display of wedding pictures of their parents and grandparents, hand penned signs for their special wedding table chairs, a sign in book filled with sunset pictures and special quotes & verses, a flower girl basket decorated by hand and more.
The bridesmaids were dressed in shades of champagne, coral and dreamsicle orange and carried various sunset shades of roses to coordinate with the affair. Melody and a crew of helpers put together all the wedding day flowers (from bouquets to reception table décor). She was dressed in her dream wedding dress from Celebration Bridal… the first one that made her feel like a real bride she said. She was able to customize her wedding day garter special for the groom with Virginia Tech colors, made her wedding day birdcage veil herself, and borrowed her sister’s wedding day ballet slippers to wear for her own special day. She and her sisters (seen dressed in champagne) have such a special bond. The evening concluded with dancing inside the newly added atrium at West Manor and a surprise carriage planned by the groom. They truly had the day of their dreams.
