Weddings are special any time of the year… but the winter is such a romantic and overlooked time of year for a warm and cozy event! Christa and Ethan were married on a cold and breezy January day in Lynchburg, Virginia but you couldn’t tell it from all the love and warmth overflowing. With help from friends and family they transformed their lovely church and large reception hall into a cozy winter space for everyone to enjoy and celebrate in. I just love all the touches of nature brought into their decor. They truly used the winter season and all its glory to celebrate their special day. Pine sprigs, cones, and berries were tucked here and there while wool plaids, sleds, skates, and lanterns brought in the feeling of enjoying the great outdoors. Faux snow and tree trunks aligned the aisles in a sweet candlelit ceremony and carried over into their wedding cake as it sat atop a tree trunk and crusted with white chocolate to look like fresh snow. Here’s my look into their beautiful wedding day and sweet relationship. You can’t overlook the beauty of having an off season winter wedding day.
